2008 NY Intl Latino Film Fest World Premiere Film “THE GLOVES” Boxer Nagy Aguilera Fights on ESPN2, Friday, July 25, 9PM

The Ninth Annual 2008 New York International Latino Film Festival (NYILFF), presented by HBO, World Premiere of THE GLOVES, directed by Joshua Durham, Sam Mestman, and Matt Mochary commenced at the Directors Guild of America Theatre, New York, Thursday, July 24, 3:00 PM. A special Q&A immediately followed moderated by NYILFF Rafael Morales with directors Joshua Durham, Sam Mestman, Matt Mochary, producer Johanna De Los Santos, and music composer Tim Mackie.

THE GLOVES is a powerful documentary film depicts the lives of four male heavyweight boxers living in New York competing for the NY Golden Gloves boxing tournament.  The film traces each boxer's unique life story. It showcase their talent through vigorous training sessions and concludes with the intense Heavyweight title boxing match. THE GLOVES (21-year-old Dominican-born) heavyweight boxer Nagy Aguilera (8 W, 0 L, 0 D, 6 KOs) fight schedule with Gary Wilcox (21 W, 3 L, 1 D, 7 KOs), on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights, at City Center, Saratoga Springs, NY, is Friday, July 25, 9:00 PM.

Cast: Heavyweight boxers Nagy Aguilera, Vaughn Parham, Costa Philippou, and Bedarin Toma. 2008 New York International Latino Film Festival, World Premiere.
