Science Fiction + Fantasy Short Film Festival

A not-to-be missed annual juried festival showcasing animated and live-action science fiction, fantasy, and horror-tinged short films from around the globe.

EMP Museum in partnership with SIFF will present the 12th annual Science Fiction + Fantasy Short Film Festival in early 2017.

The festival brings together industry professionals in filmmaking and the genres of science fiction and fantasy to encourage and support new, creative additions to science fiction and fantasy cinema arts. The festival will showcase animated and live-action science fiction and fantasy films.

Filmmakers from around the world are encouraged to submit to this acclaimed festival. Admitted films are judged by a nationally recognized jury comprised of luminaries in the fields of science fiction and fantasy.

The 2016 International Horror Film Festival is a world class event honoring the best in American and international horror filmmaking. The festival will be held October 21-27, 2016 at Cinema Village, located in NYC's Greenwich Village. The IHFF will bring the horror community together for a series of screenings, Q&As, appearances, special events and an award ceremony. Selected films will be screened alongside some of the most iconic horror movies of all time. 
 
As part of this year's festival, we will be honoring the legacy of horror icon Wes Craven (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream, Last House on the Left), who passed away in 2015.
