As a non profit organisation, the University of Málaga has the goal of offering to the audience the development of this film genre as well as backing better understanding between peoples and different cultures through film creation.

The Wicked West Film Fest 2011

The Wicked West Film Fest 2011 is being held in conjuction with the Zombie Precinct Haunted Attraction taking place in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada in October, 2011 within the new Fremont ("Screamont") East Entertainment District. There will celebrity appearances, awards, and other related activities. It will be the first horror film fest to take place in downtown, which is pretty scary in itself. In the gaslight Piraeus of the 30’s, an old drank is entering a house, raping a young woman. She owns a strange mirror which passes onto other girls, causing them horrible accidents. In our time, three university students rent a house in just the right price. Strange sounds and strange dreams haunt the three girls and withdraw them to the visions of the mirror.

Charles Causley Short Film Festival

This June, in the historic Cornish town of Launceston, the first Charles Causley Short Film Festival will take place. The recently refurbished Victorian town hall plays host to a 300 seat cinema, offering one of the grandest environments for independent film-makers to screen their creation. Submitting your film is completely free, and we will offer the widest variety of films possible the opportunity of taking part in this exciting new festival.
