French Film Panorama

 

 

From April 5 to May 30 2011, UniFrance films - an organization promoting French cinema worldwide - and the French Embassy in China, are presenting the eighth edition of the French Film Panorama in China in Beijing, Chengdu, Shenzhen and Hangzhou.

 

A selection composed of ten recently released feature films and ten short films, established in cooperation with SARFT (State Administration of Radio, Film, Television), will be brought to the Chinese audience. The films will be screened in French with Chinese subtitles. The screenings will be followed by Q&A sessions with the directors, actors and producers who will be traveling to China to promote the films, meet with the press and the Chinese audience. Masterclasses will be held in various universities.

 

The opening ceremony of Panorama will take place in Sanlitun Village in Beijing on April 7th, as well as the special screening of the film "Potiche", with Director François Ozon attending. The delegation will then go to Chengdu and Shenzhen in order to meet the local audience.

 

The Annual French Film Panorama in China aims to promote newly produced French films to the local distributors, the press as well as the Chinese spectators.

 

The Panorama is made possible thanks to the support of CNC, Paris City Government, Air France, Fondation Gan, Groupama, LVT, Broadway Cinemas, Stellar Cinema Chengdu, Jinyi International Cinemas, Sofitel Wanda Chengdu, Hotel G Beijing, Institut Français, Alliance Française, Art Genesis.
