It's a big week for "A.L.I.C.E."! While we're playing at Cannes in the
Short Film Corner, presented by Ouat Media, and in Laos at the
Vientianale, AND in the Stortford Film Festival in the UK...We also
heard about our 12th fest! It's the First Commonwealth Film Fest in
Johnstown, Pennsylvania, USA for June 17th! Please check out their site to see our

"A.L.I.C.E." is available for broadcast intern...
"A.L.I.C.E." (2010/USA/15 mins.) has been accepted into its fifth
festival...on a fifth continent. North America! "A.L.I.C.E." will play
the Davis Film Festival in Davis, CA on April 8th at the Veteran's
Memorial Theatre.
Before Davis, "A.L.I.C.E." plays in the DIFF in Vina del Mar, Chile, the
Angry Film Festival in Melbourne, Australia, the Cape Winelands Film
Fest in Capetown, South Africa, and the Corto Helvetico al Femminile in
Losone, Switze...
"A.L.I.C.E." (2010/USA/15 mins) has been acquired for internatoinal
broadcast distribution by Ouat Media of Toronto. Ouat also represents
the two 2010 Oscar Award winning shorts "God of Love" (live-action) and
"The Lost Thing" (animation). "A.L.I.C.E." is the 7th film by Dawn
Westlake that Ouat has acquired.

"A.L.I.C.E." (2010/USA/15 mins) has now been accepted into its fourth festival...on four continents! It will be screened in the Angry Film Festival in Melbourne, Australia, the DIFF in Vina del Mar, Chile and Cape Winelands Film Festival in Capetown, South Africa in March. For the 5th year in a row we will again feature the highly successful
2‐MINUTE, 2‐STEP SHORT FILM CHALLENGE (scripts submitted from all
over the world, DWF picks 8 teams ‐ writer, director, actors, producer
and editor ‐ who then produce a 2‐minute short in four hours). Using
Canon HD technology and pure filmmaking perseverance, the 8 films
are shot, edited ‐ often in the theatre lobby as patrons watch ‐ and
screened prior to competition features each night at the festival.

After Wilbur is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, his younger wife Alice must focus on her transition from dependent to caretaker. Lines become blurred when a handsome rockhound named Delfino encroaches on their desert oasis. His attentions reinforce Alice’s grip on her vitality, and motivate Wilbur to make one last grab for reality.
