Opening Night at San Francisco International Animation Festival

#
Last night's 'Glitch' was wonderful-the animation by Eric Leiser, and music by his brother Jeff, were both superb, and Jay Masonek gave a poignant and very expressive performance as himself! Truly was glad I made it to the opening night to see this stunner-the animation really was spectacular! The film was unusual as far as having a kind of flowing structure- the best way I can describe it is as a somewhat dream-like collage of symbolic images, natural beauty, and a yearning for more innocent ...

GIRAF, or the Giant Incandescent Resonating Animation Festival (est 2005), is an annual animation festival that runs each November at the Plaza Theatre in Calgary.  GIRAF celebrates the spirit of independent, underground, and experimental animation, showcasing Canadian animators and presenting diverse animations from around the globe. We’ve showcased the award winning independent work artists including Don Hertzfedlt, Bruce Bickford, Brandon Bloomaert, Barry Doupe, Cordell Barker, Richard Reeves, Chad Van Gaalan, Nick Fox-Geig, Amy Lockhart, Stu Hughes, Madi Piller, and Cam Christiansen, among many others.

We focus on presenting works that push boundaries through the development of new techniques, hybrid forms of creation, and challenging subject matter, and thus animation that is rarely seen at other festivals.

Kung Fu Panda Sydney Red Carpet Premiere: Eva Rinaldi Photography Hollywood hit Sydney - AussieWood tonight, thanks to Jack Black and Lucy Liu, who star in Kung Fu Panda 2. Black was super animated and friendly, while Liu was quicker paced with the news media and fans. Celebrating The World Of Disney

user
He is often not given his proper due in film history, but the legacy of Walt Disney, the animator turned entrepreneur, is an amazing story of American cinema and worldwide ambitions. The name itself DISNEY is all one needs to conjure up a certain kind of cinema. From the early classic animation of the 1930s and 1940s to today's digital animation releases, the Disney brand is unlike any other in Hollywood. The studio has, for 70 years, been at the forefront of innovation. To ce...
