We are proud to announce an official call for entries for Short & Sweet 3D.
Short & Sweet (the regular, 2D kind) has been London's only weekly short film festival for four years running. Every Monday night, we screen a selection of the finest short films, music videos and short animations from around the globe: old films, new films, from established directors to filmmakers that are completely undiscovered. The idea is to inspire all who attend, expose the best talent and ultimately celebrate film. With over 250 people coming each week, this is a great place to network.
Short & Sweet 3D is an exciting new step for us celebrating independent, maverick, cutting-edge filmmaking in the growing stereoscopic medium. We are excited to screen a wide variety of content including fiction, documentary, music videos, live action and animation, so send it all in!
We realize that indie content is going to come to us in a wide variety of formats, so we will certainly accept whatever you feel is the highest quality but at this time can only accept digital submissions. Our preferred choice would be individual left/right AVI files or QuickTimes. The final exhibition format is via the XpanD system, and selected entries will be encoded to DCP for that format.
The deadline for entries is June 1st, 2010.
Entries must be under 15 minutes in duration.
All films in a language other than English must be subtitled in English, unless dialogue or commentary is unnecessary for comprehension and appreciation.
Filmmakers will be notified of selection no later than June 25th, 2010.
Submitting a film to the festival is free!
