LUCIENNE LANAZ BIO-FILMOGRAPHY
Born in 1937, Zurich, Switzerland. Diploma in commerce and physical education. From 1972, assistant in Swiss film productions and from 1974, free lance documentary filmmaker. Collaborated during several years as interpreter and all-round assistant with the film festivals of Solothurn, Nyon, Locarno, Oberhausen and Bludenz. President and member of the international Jury, film festival Bludenz (Austria 2008, 1997, 1993,1990) and member of an international or ecumenical Jury, film festivals Bilbao (Spain 1978), Imola (Italy 1996), San Giovanni Lupatoto (Italy 1997), Oberhausen (Germany 2007, 2001). From 1995 to 1998 Delegate to the European coordination of film festivals for the film festival Bludenz (Austria).
Teachings:
2008: Lecture on film analysis at the “Haute École fribourgeoise” of social work in the context of the Fribourg (CH) International Film Festival.
Winter 1993/94: Direction of a work-shop on "creation in film-making" for prisoners of the Penitentiary Institution "de la Plaine de l'Orbe", Orbe, Switzerland.

During 5 years committee member of the Swiss Film Society. 8 years member of the Photo, Film and Video Commission of the Canton of Bern. 15 years active member of the study-group for film of the Alpinale-Vorarlberg, Austria, and 6 years active member of the art commission of the Gallery 2016 in Hauterive, Switzerland. At the present time member of the associations SUISSIMAGE, INTERFILM and "Berne (CH) für den Film".

Awards:
2003 ...we decline all responsibility... received the Ebenseer silver bear at the Festival of the Nations in Ebensee, Austria. 1995 the great award of the San Gio' Video Festival in San Giovanni Lupatoto was given to Lucienne Lanaz for the entirety of her work. 1996 "I have rights over my body..." received a distinction of the Jury at the Video Festival Psy in Auxerre, France. 1994 "SETU LAULUEMA" received the award of the "Direction Départementale Jeunesse et Sport de Charente Maritime" at the Festival in Saintes, France. The film "Fire, Smoke, Sausages" received the award of the International Jury of the Anthropological Visual Festival in Pärnu, Estonia, 1989 and a distinction at the Youth Festival in Mannheim in 1979.
The films "Happiness at 70", "Fire, Smoke, Sausages", "The Smithy" and "Queen of Elastic" got the special Swiss quality award.
All films of Lucienne Lanaz have been shown in various international festivals, throughout the world.
