The First Annual 2009 Village Voice Creative Block hosted by La Dolce Musto writer Michael Musto of The Villiage Voice will be held at the historical Webster Hall, New York, Monday, May 18, 8:30 PM - 2:30 AM. Creative Block is a multidisciplinary arts presentation of burlesque, digital art, performance art, dance and fiber arts from New York's creative emerging artists and avant-garde underground. Creative Block 2009 inaugural talent showcase include DJ Randy Bettis, Joey Arias & Basil Twist, The Daisy Spurs, Gravity Plays Favorites, Una Mimnaugh, Sxip Shirey, Project Jenny, Project Jan, Jollyship the Whizbang and Filthy Gorgeous Burlesque hosted by Murray Hill, with performances by Angie Pontani (Miss Exotic World 2008), Trixie Little and the Evil Hate Monkey, Tigger!, Lukki, Maine, Broadway Brassy, Little Miss Lixx and DJ Momotaro. Art Exhibitions by Eyebeam and Collective Communal Consciousness - Fiber Arts. Creative Block 2009 is the Official 54th OBIE Awards After Party. Tickets are available at Brown Paper Tickets for $15.00. A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to Global Angels (an international children's charity championing the needs of children).
