As part of the event, 5 unique cinematic and art lots will be presented, which will help raise funds to help the heroes of the cultural front of Ukraine.
On May 24, within the framework of the Cannes Film Festival, The Ukrainian State Film Agency, with the assistance of the Mayor's Office of Cannes, will hold a "silent" auction in support of the Ukrainian film industry, which will suffer crushing losses due to the Russian war in Ukraine.
The headliner of the charity event will be the Ukrainian band KAZKA, which will take the stage together with the Swiss musicians Kadebostany. And the hosts are actor and producer Yuri Gorbunov and TV presenter Katerina Osadcha.
Lots will include storyboards of the legendary film “Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors” by Sergyi Parajanov, a rare Ukrainian movie poster of the 70s, paintings by the greatest artist Ivan Marchuk, as well as a book by the cult director David Lynch with his personal signature.
In particular, the program of the evening included showing a video about filmmakers who were forced to leave film sets and film festivals in order to defend Ukraine from Russian aggression with weapons in their hands.
The event, the main media partner of which is JetSetter.ua, will be attended by representatives of the global film community, as well as Ukrainian cultural and film industry figures, as well as influencers, patrons and art connoisseurs. All proceeds from the auction will be transferred to the Fund for Assistance to Ukrainian Filmmakers.
