Academy Award-winner Diane Keaton and Academy Award-nominee Andy Garcia are reuniting after the box office hit Book Club for Academy Award-nominated writer / director Raymond De Felitta's (City Island, "Madoff," Two Family House) Artist in Residence, it was announced today by Protagonist Pictures CEO Dave Bishop. The Hunger Games franchise star Josh Hutcherson is also set to star in the highly anticipated comedy.
Protagonist is handling international sales on the hot project and will introduce to buyers at the upcoming Marche du Film. WME Independent is handling North American sales.
Lauren Versel, under her Lucky Monkey Pictures banner, (City Island, The Last Five Years), and Joe Pichirallo (The Secret Life of Bees, Lakeview Terrace) are producing.
When an eccentric female artist (Diane Keaton) in New York City is faced with eviction from her home of 40 years by a powerful developer (Andy Garcia) who wants to demolish her building, she forges two unlikely alliances; one with the developer's son, Max, (Josh Hutcherson), who was supposed to be in charge of her eviction but instead becomes her friend and advocate; and the other with an ambitious female TV reporter who creates a media event out of it.
Artist in Residence is a charming and heartwarming New York tale, where the protagonists fight for the heart and soul of the city they call home.

Diane Keaton won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of an aspiring nightclub singer in Annie Hall and was nominated in the same category another three times: in Nancy Meyer's Something's Gotta Give, in Jerry Zak's Marvin's Room, and Warren Beatty's Reds. Recent feature credits include Finding Dory, Book Club, Poms and the HBO limited series "The Young Pope."
Garcia earned an Academy Award for Best Actor in Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather: Part III. Other iconic credits include Brian De Palma's The Untouchables, Ridley Scott's Black Rain, Internal Affairs, When a Man Loves a Woman, Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead, Night Falls on Manhattan, Desperate Measures, and Ocean's Eleven, among many others.
Hutcherson is known for his role as Peeta Mellark in Lionsgate's box-office smash The Hunger Games franchise opposite Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland. His additional credits include Focus Features' The Kids Are All Right, Warner Bros.' Journey to the Center of the Earth and its sequel Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and Hulu's series "Futureman."
