11th McMinnville Sci-Fi Film Festival
A big thank you to all the filmmakers who submitted films to this year’s 11th McMinnville Sci-Fi Film Festival. Not only was it a difficult task to narrow down the hundreds of films submitted to this year’s selection, but our judges had a very long discussion to select this year’s finalists and winners.
While we were hoping to hold an in-person festival back in the theater this year, as well as an online experience, the trials of COVID decided otherwise. Unfortunately, the in-person festival had to be cancelled for public safety due to the rising COVID numbers in our area. Our team following the CDC safety guidelines were able to put together a small private screening of all the selected films for our judges and special guests.
We would like to thank all our judges for adapting to this year’s challenges and painstakingly picking this year’s films, finalist, and winners! We know it was not an easy task.
Though the in-person screenings were canceled this year many of this year’s selections were able to be shown in the online experience. There was a wonderful turnout from viewers around the world and our team loved to see the support online for everyone’s films.
