Overview of the US business for the week of Monday, May 24

With no new wide releases opening this weekend, the box office delivered an encore performance of last week's results.  Lionsgate's R-Rated horror-flick Spiral starring Chris Rock maintained its first place standing with $4.55M in ticket sales, and sports a 10-day running cume of $15.8M. UA Releasing's heist thriller The Wrath of Man starring Jason Statham earned $2.9M in its third week, down only 21% from its gross last weekend.  It has a three-week running cume of $18.8M.  Warner Bros.' R-Rated suspense thriller Those Who Wish Me Dead starring Angelina Jolie came in third place in its second week, with $1.8M in new ticket sales and a 10-day cume of $5.5M.

This week's Boxoffice Buzz video feature is a Popcorn Preview of Warner Bros.' The Suicide Squad, featuring a cast of supervillains from the DC Comics franchise.  Check out the mayhem, scheduled to hit theatres this summer on August 6th.
