A film festival lives from the shared, emotional film experience of the viewers with a big screen - bigger than life. The 33rd Federal Festival Film. links corona times-related real film festival screening in Wuppertal with a digital festival on the net for all of Germany.
The Federal Festival Film. 2020 is the first film festival in Germany to take place in a drive-in cinema. A best-of-film program will be shown in the Wuppertal drive-in cinema on June 13th from 9 p.m. The program includes an impressive cross-section of content and film design through the current festival year and thus offers an important platform for the current youth and film culture.
Tickets for a total of 200 cars can be reserved free of charge from the festival website from May 25th. In parallel to the drive-in evening, the live event will be streamed on the Internet. This special event will be moderated by the filmmaker Lea Dinger and the Wuppertal musician Horst Wegener, who will perform a few songs live before the best-of-film screening. The fans of the Bundes.Festival.Film. Despite the unusual circumstances, there is no need to completely forego the festival atmosphere: this year's winners will be announced immediately before the film program. As a preliminary film, a section of the Corona Diaries of the Wuppertal media project is shown for the first time on cinema screens, in which young people from Wuppertal and the surrounding area document their lives, feelings and thoughts during the Corona crisis with the camera in digital diaries. On Sunday, June 14, the organizers invite you to exchange views with other filmmakers, jury members and media educators as part of various video conferences.
The German Youth Film Award is the competition for film talents up to 25 years. The German Generations Film Award is a platform that is unique in Germany for filmmakers up to 25 and over 50 and for multi-generation teams. The winners will be awarded prizes with a total value of 21,000 euros - including an audience prize endowed with 1,000 euros. An event by the German Children and Youth Film Center, the Wuppertal Media Project and the Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Faculty of Design and Art.
