SCRIPT POOL TALLINN PROJECTS REVEALED

Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event announce projects for the third edition of the script competition Script Pool Tallinn, an international script competition for film, TV and drama series scripts.
Selected projects include "Transition" by director and scriptwriter Artem Semakin; "In The Belly Of a Tiger" by director and scriptwriter Jatla Siddhartha, "Molly" by scriptwriter Nicole Paglia and producer Jessie Mangum; "Reply to a Letter From Helga" by scriptwriter and director Ása Hjörleifsdóttir; "Drops of Water" by scriptwriter and director Robert Budina and "Melchior the Apothecary" by scriptwriters Elmo Nüganen, Olle Mirme and Kristian Taska.

SIX PROJECTS PARTICIPATING AT
POWR BALTIC STORIES EXCHANGE

POWR Baltic Stories Exchange is a 4-day scriptwriters’ workshop, that gives Nordic and Baltic screenwriters an opportunity to present their projects and writing talent at the largest regional film market in Northeastern Europe.
Like last year, the workshop will be run by experienced tutors Valeria Richter and Helene Granqvist. Selected scriptwriters will present their projects on the 28th of November. It is an opportunity to hear the new voices and stories from the Baltic & Nordic film communities and a voice from this year’s focus region Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event 2019 – Ireland.

BLACK NIGHT STARS ANNOUNCED!

Black Nights Stars, the initiative of the Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event, announces six young actors from the Baltic Sea region to participate in the programme this November.
The international jury selected six young actors from over 30 candidates, who are invited to attend the Black Nights Stars Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event, a part of the 23rd edition of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF): Magdalena Berus (Poland), Maria Dragus (Germany), Mimosa Willamo (Finland), Povilas Jatkevičius (Lithuania), Risto Vaidla (Estonia) and Franz Malmsten (Estonia).

FORENSIC MUSICOLOGIST PETER OXENDALE @MUSIC MEETS FILM
|
|
|
In this year’s 8th instalment of Music Meets Film, primarily intended for composers and musicians aiming to create music for film, welcomes Peter Oxendale, forensic musicologist and copyright infringement specialist as one of the main speakers.
In discussion with Tom Player, Oxendale lays out a film composer’s dilemma with a relationship to a film’s temporary score, and how the attachment to it (Temp Love) leads to wide-spread plagiarism. We will hear music excerpts illustrating composers’ interpretations of original music, which venture into the realm of copyright infringement.

This year’s Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event will see the launch of daily tickets, targeted to industry professionals as well as young emerging talents interested in film industry, who are only able to attend the film summit for a day or two.
Daily tickets allow individuals to take part in the TV Beats Forum, attend several masterclasses, as well as participate in the Music Meets Film and Black Nights Stars events from 25-27 November.
