"From On High" has won the PRIX DES LYCEENS at the 2019 Festival Le Temps Presse held at the Cinema Publicis on the Champs-Elysees in Paris, France, January 29-February 1, 2019. The President of the Jury was Juliette Binoche. Other jurors were actresses Virginie Ledoyen and Melanie Thierry, astronaut Patrick Baudry, director Safy Nebbou, chef Thierry Marx, and explorer Jean-Michel Costeau. This is the 12th prize and 14th nomination for "From On High". The film is about a Syrian refugee girl who finds a better life in Europe.
"From On High" was shot and edited on location in Barcelona, Collsuspina, and La Sala de Sant Llogari, Catalunya, Spain by Pol Carrizo Vilarroig of Imatge Barcelona. Carrizo and his 1st AC and business partner Andrea Perez Maldonado represented the film and collected the prize in Paris for Los Angeles-based writer-director Dawn Westlake of Ron de Cana Productions, Inc.
GC Johnson of Acoustic Labs composed the original score for "From On High". The film marks the professional acting debut of 11-year-old actors Zoe Pinell Lopez and Esteve Serra Coll.
