For the first time in history, the Pope opens his doors and shares social vision, compassion and words of peace and wisdom which clearly have the power to unite us. The film by Veteran filmmaker Wim Wenders should appeal to believers and non believers alike; It should be seen by catholics, jews and muslims and has the power to unite them: definitely a MOVIE THAT MATTER.
I was moved to tears hearing the pope words and feeding on his smile! Smiles he says are the flowers of the soul...what a beautiful and important soul!
My last impression of the film after it ended: "too short", these are the only words i could utter when i saw Wim and congratulated him at the end of the Cannes screening after a standing ovation.
(Watch the video I took of that moment when he sees Michael Lonsdale and the team of Sacred Festival for Beauty, where he was a guest last year for a panel on movies that matter.
