"Scrappy", a film about standing up to gun violence, based on the Studs Terkel Humanities Award-winning poem by Donald G. Westlake, represented the USA in the San Rafael en Corto Film Fest in Vecindario, Spain (The Canary Islands) on November 4th, 2017.
"Scrappy" is a Ron de Cana Productions' presentation, directed and adapted for the screen by Dawn Westlake. Pol Carrizo Vilarroig of Imatge Barcelona shot and edited on location in Pine Mountain and Los Angeles, CA, USA. An original score was provided by GC Johnson of Acoustic Labs.
"Scrappy" marked the professional acting debut of 5-yr-old Nefertina Lizarraga and her dog, Kong (as SCRAPPY).
