Wednesday Evening Cocktails...and some seriously cool stuff
Wednesday, 15 November
On Wednesday evening, AFP will generously host a cocktail reception at the Beurs (our venue). We'll enjoy our cocktails, including some very special Dutch gin, and sample wonderful Dutch food specialities. Then...something new for those who wish to stay longer and keep the party going. It's Gin & Technics.
First, a screening of "I Am Rohinga" (duration: 8 minutes). Produced by Contrast VR, Al Jazeera Media Network’s new immersive studio, I Am Rohingya is the first virtual reality documentary on the Rohingya refugee crisis and ethnic cleansing in Myanmar. Editorial Lead Zahra Rasool will join us!
Then, from Hashtag Your Stories, journalists Yusuf and Sumaiya Omar will engage us in a fun and interactive evening about what's cool, what's new, what's happening in the wild west of selfie journalism. Ask questions. Get the skinny on Snapchat. Have fun!
