At the Marché du Film of the International Film Festival Cannes 2017 the German independent film distributor Tiberius Film secured the rights to the thriller LIES WE TELL with an excellent cast including Gabriel Bryne and Harvey Keitel. Tiberius Film also acquired THE CRUCIFIXION, the new horror movie of the French director Xavier Gens and the action film FEMALE FIGHT CLUB featuring stunt star Amy Johnston and Dolph Lundgren.
LIES WE TELL is the feature film debut of director Mitu Misra, who has cast the Thriller about a Gangster syndicate with top actors: Gabriel Byrne („Vikings“, „The Usual Suspects“) plays the right hand of a gangster boss, who enters a turmoil of deathly events after the death of his boss. By his side is the legendary actor Harvey Keitel („Pulp Fiction“, „Grand Budapest Hotel“) as well as Mark Addy („Game of Thrones“, „Still Standing“) and Gina McKee („Notting Hill“, „Atonement“).
Director Xavier Gens („Frontier(s)“) teamed up with the makers of „The Conjuring“ for THE CRUCIFIXION and created a nerve-racking horror film, which is based on true events. A journalist investigates the death of a nun in a monastery. Was it a priest who murdered the allegedly possessed woman or did he in his exorcism lose the battle against the devil? The female lead is portrayed by Sophie Cookson from „Kingsman: The Secret Service“ und „The Huntsman & The Ice Queen“.
The action film FEMALE FIGHT CLUB also features a well-known cast: legendary action star Dolph Lundgren („The Expendables“, „Universal Soldier“) and Amy Johnston, who belongs to Hollywood’s first stunt team and who celebrated success as a stuntwoman inter alia with „Deadpool“ and „Suicide Squad“. Spectacular fighting scenes are guaranteed in this action-packed movie about the tough business of illegal fight clubs.
