Bradford International Film Associates recently attended the European Film Market, part of Berlinale 2017, with feature thriller, LIES WE TELL. Starring Gabriel Byrne (The Usual Suspects, Louder Than Bombs), Harvey Keitel (Taxi Driver, Reservoir Dogs) and Sibylla Deen (Tyrant), the film tells the story of a trusted driver who must deal with his dead boss's Muslim mistress, her dark past pulling him into a life-and-death showdown with her notorious gangster cousin/ex-husband.
Represented by Spotlight Pictures (http://www.spotlight-pictures.com), producers Andy McDermott and Malcolm Scott screened the trailer and met with potential distributors, securing theatrical distribution in a number of territories on the basis of talent, script and trailer. We’re told the first market screenings are scheduled for Cannes in May, with more news on film festival premieres and screenings promised soon.
Bradford International Film Associates are currently developing a slate, focussing on feature films that entertain, challenge and reach a global audience.
Harvey Keitel can currently be seen in Taylor Hackford’s ‘The Comedian’ and will be reteaming with Martin Scorsese and De Niro this year for ‘The Irishman’ in which a hit-man recalls the slaying of union boss, Jimmy Hoffa.
