The Early Bird Deadline for the 30th Leeds International Film Festival is April 1st
The Leeds International Film Festival (LIFF) is accepting submissions for its 30th anniversary edition. LIFF is the largest film festival in England outside London. In 2015 the festival welcomed over 45,000 visitors and showed over 300 films from around the world.

LIFF is a qualifying film festival for the Oscars® and BAFTAs
The winners of LIFF’s Louis le Prince International Short Film Competition and World Animation Competition may be submitted to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences for consideration for nominations for the Live Action and Animated Short Film categories of the Oscars® respectively. Any British short film selected by LIFF may be submitted to the British Academy of Film & Television Arts for consideration for nominations for the British Short Film category of the BAFTAs.
Short Film Awards
· Louis Le Prince International Short Film Competition- £1,000 Prize
· World Animation Award- £1,000 Prize
· Best British Short- £1000 Prize
· Yorkshire Short Film Competition- £500 Prize
· Dance Short Film Competition- £500 Prize
· Music Video Award
