Here is the underlying rationale, if you care to read it:
It is basically a silent movie with music.
My personal project goals where, it had to be:
- Different
- Simple
- Fast
- With sexual innuendo
Different – 99.9% of the completion is going to do their DORITOS joke du jour, so I didn’t want to go there. Different is better.
Simple – lowest possible production cost, like zero
Fast – I started 44 hours before the deadline and finished 12 hours before the deadline and I did some 5 or so different versions
Sexual Innuendo – sex sells and is not the “joke du jour” that others will use so it will be different. If DORITOS wants the joke then I was wrong. If they want something different, I may have eliminated 99.9% of the competition. I think different is better, but they are the judge.
