Variety executive editor for features Steven Gaydos will be honored with a special award at the 43rd Karlovy Vary Film Festival.
For the past 11 years, Gaydos has contributed to the fest program as a moderator for numerous panel discussions. He also introduced the Variety Critic's Choice segment, which highlights the work of up-and-coming European filmmakers.
The award will be conferred during the fest's opening night Friday.
