7th Malibu International Film Festival honors Brett Ratner for Achievement in the Arts. Award presented by Sir Anthony Hopkins on the April 10th awards night at Gladstone's Malibu.
The 7th Malibu International Film Festival is proud to announce the director of the highly-anticipated feature film X Men: The Last Stand, Brett Ratner, as this year¹s celebrity honoree. Mr. Ratner, director of Red Dragon with Anthony Hopkins and the Rush Hour films starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, has quickly established himself as one of Hollywood¹s most successful directors. Past festival directorial honorees include James Cameron, John Frankenheimer and Arthur Hiller.
The Festival is also proud to announce Academy Award Winner Sir Anthony Hopkins as special guest presenter for the 2006 special tribute to Brett Ratner. Hopkins reprised his role as Dr. Hannibal Lechter for the film Red Dragon, directed by Ratner in 2002. Past festival presenters include Gary Sinise and James Cameron. The tribute and awards ceremony will take place 8pm, Monday, April 10 with dinner to be served at Gladstone¹s Malibu. This event is produced by Lori Llevano.
