Quentin Tarantino will preside over the Jury of the 57th Festival de Cannes, to be held May 12-23, 2004. Selected for the first time in 1992 with Reservoir Dogs, he's back in Cannes 10 years after receiving the Palme d'Or for Pulp Fiction (1994).
Quentin Tarantino stated : “For a filmmaker and film lover there's no greater honour than to be on the jury of the Cannes Film Festival. To be President is both a magnificent honour and a magnificent responsibility. And also the crowning achievement of a lifetime spent in cinematic obsession: a Magnificent Obsession”.
Kill Bill Volume 2 - Quentin's 5th film after Reservoir Dogs (1992), Pulp Fiction (1994) and Jackie Brown (1998)- is expected to screen at Cannes along with SHREK 2.
