The mantra 'Hare Rama, Hare Krishna' is chanted in tune with the washing machines
when two monks decide to wash every single robe in the area's ashram. Discussions
regarding the spacious washing machine from hell are mixed with persistent chanting.

Britta Hosman was born in Utrecht in 1967. She has been a radio presenter
for Amsterdam FM and VPRO Radio. She has made short TV-features for Waskracht,
a controversial youth-program and in 1998, she directed the documentary The
Visitor. During 1999 she, together with Rob Smits, made a series of documentaries
called Observations in Holland.
Rob Smits was born in Breda in 1965, Rob Smits has worked as a cameraman
for Dutch TV. In 1996 he started directing documentaries in the award-winning
series Diogenes. In 1998 he made the film Graveyard Kremlin. In 1999 he and
Britta Hosman, made a series of documentaries called Observations in Holland.
