The 10th edition will be rich in events and well known people.
The main premises of the film festival is the Morlacchi Theatre of Perugia that will host the cultural event between the 6-10 December 2006.
The Grand opening will be held on the 3rd of December at the National Gallery and will include a visit of the museum presented by Enrico Ghezzi and Alexandr Sokurov, Director of Arca Russa, a movie realized using one level of sequence within the Hermitage of San Pietroburgo.
On the 6th of December the festival will open with a tribute to Sraub Huillet with the screening of the movie: “Quei loro incontri”, awarded at the last Venice film festival.
With the awarding of the Laurea Honoris Causa to Edgar Reitz, following will be a screening of the movie. Introduced by Amos Gitai, Director of Free Zone, awarded last festival of Cannes.
The 7th of December a session of Gay and Lesbian movies, in collaboration with Torino Gay and Lesbian film festival will be shown.
On the 8th of December the festival will host Philippe Garrel, with an introduction to the third part of the homage started in 2004. Enrico Ghezzi will introduce the last work of Angela Ricci Lucchi e Yervant Gianikian dedicated to …and the first meeting with Abbas Kiarostami called “Con il vento (del cinema)”.
On the 9th of December the movie “L’imbalsamatore”, for the Vigo prize, will be shown in the presence of Matteo Garrone; meetings between, Marco Bellocchio and Philippe Garrel (“Cinema in pegno”) and Amos Gitai, Elisabetta Sgarbi and Diego Marani (winner of Campiello prize and of Grinzane Cavour) titled “Il cinema delle parole”. In the evening, Andrea Farri, young musician and composer, will accompany short movies by Jean Vigo. Following the presenting of the Premier of the Vigo to Mario Monicelli. The Hollywood Party prize together with the performers of Radio Tre will award the best Italian movie of 2006. The evening will end with Ninetto Davoli with the introduction of “Il Minestrone”, film tv, of Sergio CItti with Roberto Benigni, Franco Citti and Davoli himself.
The last day of the festival, 10th of December, will open with the reunion “Fragile come un’immagine” with Abbas Kiarostami and Amos Gitai. During the afternoon Dario and Asia Argento will introduce “La sindrome di Stendhal”, a movie where they acted together.

A cultural event based on eccentricity, on cinema and author experimentation, on the internationalism of the programme and on the cultural exception.
