Mobile Phone Film Making Workshop - Micro Moves: Human - Urban / Surviving Strategies in a Mega-City
German filmmaker Till Passow will conduct a mobile Phone Film Making Workshop under the aegis of Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai.
Till Passow, born in 1968, is a renowned film maker. He has won the Oberhausen Mobile Phone Film Competition and was an assistant and trainee interviewer on the Steven Spielberg project Survivors of the Shoah. Till Passow spent eight months in Calcutta in 2001 to direct his award-winning short documentary "Howrah, Howrah".
The workshop will be conducted in three stages and the results will be screened at the Goethe Hall at Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai on April 11th. There are no fees to be paid by the participants. A special mobile handset will be provided to the participants for the duration of the workshop.
Tentative Schedule:
First phase: Interaction and script writing: initial meeting on 28.3.2011 at Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai, Kala Ghoda, Subsequent workshop sessions: 29.3. – 2.4.2011 at Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai (10.30 am – 5.00 pm)
Second Phase: Shooting and editing, 3.4. – 9.4.2011, timings: Flexible.
Final Phase: film screening at MMB on April 11.
