No longer the unseen force in the universe, KARMA takes on the form of a mysterious woman and sets out to collect what's due her. The law of Karma is this: For every event that occurs, there will follow another event whose existence was caused by the first and when the opportunity presents itself, your Karma debt will come due for you to pay. No longer the unseen force of retribution, Karma takes on the form of a mysterious woman, who comes to town bearing gifts. Gifts of tragedy, horror, deceit, all the things you put out into the universe for her to hear she is bringing back to you! Your debt is due and Karma is coming to collect. And when it comes time to ante up, you'll find she is a "Real" bitch. Our pilot episode consists of 3 short stories, with each show thereafter focusing on one individual, while introducing the next individual for the following episode within the storyline. Our first story and pilot episode begins with Scott Emerson, a stock broker who has been cheating on is wife for more than two years. Scott doesn't want kids right now so when his wife surprises him with news of a baby, Scott feels his life is all but ended. Six months later during child birth his wife falls into a coma only for Scott to realize how much he loves his wife and newborn son, and is now ready to abandon his wreckless way. But when the baby is born with a sever aliment he find out that what was once good for the goose, was also good for the gander. In our second story: Matthew a Chicago cop, moved his brother Calvin from Chicago at a young age to the Michigan suburbs to keep him away from the harsh realities of Chicago's south side violence, drugs and gangs. But when his brother now 27, falls in love and plans to marry a women he know little about, Matt calls in a favor to find out who she is, but finds the tables turn when his informant unearths a secret about Matt, he has kept keep hidden for 15 years. In our third story: Carol Hopkins, is a doating wife to her sick husband Lucas. Her second husband. She also has a penchant for living the champagne and caviar life on a wine and cheese budget. While an investigation is being opened after her husband mysterious dies, Carol meets a financial planner at a bar, who warms his way into her life. But she is in for a rude awakening when she devises a plan to make him husband number three. Book

Director: Elton Baxhaku.
This is a film about the book. The art and the craft of making the object which has always been and is part of our life. Starting as a sheet of paper, it gets all the violence of the machinery, like press power, foldings, cuttings and bindings, in order to be finalized as unity which encloses words. This unity is called “book”. But, what really makes the book a book? The “voice” of Stéphane Mallarmé narrates some of the answers of this question.

Monotoni

Director: Ilker CAKMAKCI.

Indebted

Director: Márton "Mara" Jelinkó.
Elli (Heidi Lindén), a university student, has a problem. Living in the poor area, but partying in the upscale clubs of the city is taking its financial toll, that can not be covered by her part time job as a cleaning lady. Even after her grandmothers antique necklace has been pawned, there just doesn't seem to be enough money for her lifestyle and to pay back the loans she has accumulated. So she decides to make money out of her one night stands and soon she settles into the lifestyle of a call-girl. Iiris (Kristiina Puukko), who has been forced into working with a small-time criminal group, has a problem of her own. She is in love with her colleague, Andrei (Juha-Tapio Arola), who doesn't even notice it. In a macho environment, where debts are collected via fists, there wouldn't be any room for the mushy stuff anyway. However, neighter of the women can foresee how much things will go wrong when Elli and Andrei meet one night and love springs its head up between them. Iiris is not going to just observe this from the sidelines and Elli is not going back to her old life without Andrei any more. Only when the women are forced to work together, do they come face to face with the facts that there are some mistakes that cannot be undone just like that. ”Indebted” is the debut feature as a director for Márton Jelinkó, who has worked in the Finnish independent scene as a cinematographer, for many years. It was made on a shoestring budget, using digital acquisition and utilizing an experimental improvisational method of working with the actors and combining that with the visual style of the camerawork.
