The Toronto International Film and Video Awards TIFVA

The Toronto International Film and Video Awards' (TIFVA) mission is to assist filmmakers by giving them the recognition they deserve for quality work. Originally founded by local filmmakers, the partners recognize the challenges that writers and filmmakers face when trying to showcase their talents. By partnering with community and charitable organizations, TIFVA bridges the gap between the filmmaker and their environment. Through the TIFVA organization, budding filmmakers are given the opportunity to hone their talent and skills by recording local events and posting videos of those events on the TIFVA and partner websites. This provides free exposure for the partner organization while TIFVA’s participants benefit from an opportunity to expand their filmmaking portfolio. TIFVA is committed to making annual donations to charitable organizations as well as to local organizations that promote film and video.

The mission of the Toronto International Film and Video Awards (TIFVA) is to support and promote independent artists in the film industry.

The Toronto International Film and Video Awards (TIFVA) is a Toronto-based not-for-profit awards ceremony/film festival whose founders are committed to the support and promotion of independent artists in the film industry. TIFVA was started by local filmmakers who identified a gap that exists between independent filmmakers and their community, and the challenges of gaining recognition for their work. Through a unique set of offerings TIFVA bridges this gap and in the process creates an environment of support and growth.
