FMX 2012
17th Conference on Animation, Effects, Games and Transmedia
May 8-11, Stuttgart, Germany

FMX is Europe's largest conference on the creation, production and distribution of digital entertainment and interactive visualization in design, industry and research. Every year artists, specialists, scientists, producers and other key people come to FMX to present new projects, developments and opportunities in the Conference, at the Marketplace, in Workshops or Presentations, in the Recruiting Hub or Education Section, Screenings or Events. As a community-based event, the aim is to provide a space where experiences can be exchanged, innovative approaches discussed and ideas multiplied. The conference’s binding theme is the convergence of film, television, computers, consoles and mobile devices.

Edinburgh Short Film Festival 

Following a highly successful inaugural year, the Edinburgh Short Film Festival will again showcase the best Scottish, UK & International
short films in cinemas and film venues across the stunning city of Edinburgh in June 2012 and we are now open for submissions to this year's festival.  

There will be free talks and seminars on films and film-making hosted by the Ragged University as well as continuing to host our lively film-maker networking sessions and other social events following the screenings.

Films of all genres and budgets will be considered. Please note the following points:

•  Fees  £10 per films  (maximum length 25 minutes)
• The deadline for film submissions is Friday May 4th 2011, and details of the film program will be posted on our website shortly after this date.
• Please don’t submit your only copy! Discs cannot be returned!
• Entrants may submit more than one film.
  
• All successful entrants will be informed in May.

VIEWFest is an international festival on 3D cinema and animation, organized every year by VIEW Conference, that screened important world previews, the best of 3D production, retrospectives, movies, short movies, video clips, music, workshops for schools and exclusive events. Film North, Huntsville International Film Festival, is the newest place for a small, simple, excellent festival in a remote location. Huntsville is a two hour drive north of Toronto, in the beautiful lake district setting of Muskoka, Ontario, Canada. Movie lovers can continue after attending the Toronto International Film Festival, TIFF, the first two weekends of September, to the lovely setting of Huntsville, Ontario, Canada, the third weekend of September. Our mandate is to create a user - friendly environment for emerging Canadian and International Filmmakers to exhibit, promote, entertain and inform the audience. We are an incorporated non profit organization. Our board of Directors are from the film, arts and business sectors. The founders are residents of Toronto and Huntsville, with backgrounds in the Film and Arts professions.

The Charlotte Horror Fest is horror and sci-Fi film festival taking place every October in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event is produced by Indie Film Force, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2005, which also produces the already established Charlotte Film Festival

The mission of the Charlotte Horror Fest is to bring filmmakers and film fans together for a celebration of the Horror and Sci-Fi genres. This independent filmfestival puts the focus on roma. Our aim is to add new stories and (moving) pictures to avoid discrimination of this minority by international documentary and feature films from the region as much as oeuvres and clips made by the roma them selves.
