Solaris Pictures, over the past one decade, has produced and distributed award winning films on social issues like HIV/AIDS and gay rights. It champions for Indian queer cinema by providing opportunities for young filmmakers to produce and distribute queer films. In April 2010 , Solaris Pictures was one of the Principal Partners in organizing India's biggest queer film festival, for the very first time, in a mainstream theater creating history.
