Seventeen people suffered from gunshot wounds, said Mercer county prosecutor Angelo Onofri.

Two suspects opened fire around 2.45am during the Art All Night Trenton festival that showcases local art, music, food and films. One of the suspects, a 33-year-old man, was taken down by Police, the second suspect has been arrested.

.Art All Night-Trenton is a 24-hour long arts extravaganza occurring annually on the 3rd weekend in June. AAN encourages any artist of any age, medium or skill level to submit one piece of art of their own creation for display in a gallery-like setting. It is free to submit art and free to attend. At Art All Night-Trenton 2011 over 900 artists of all ages, skill levels and mediums submitted work and more than 13,000 people attended. AAN 2013 saw an even larger surge in attendance when 30,000 people walked into our amazing space to witness almost over 1,000 pieces of artwork on display, 50+ bands on three stages and a host of interactive events and a world food court!

Art All Night-Trenton is a catalyst for community development, shining a spotlight on our region’s artistic talent. The show includes and attracts artists of all ages and skill levels and particularly encourages children and amateur artists to be actively involved by contributing artwork and engaging in on site activities.

ArtPride New Jersey is saddened to hear

Dear friend,

ArtPride New Jersey is saddened to hear about the violence that disrupted a typically joyous Art All Night celebration. Art spaces must be safe spaces, and we admire Artworks' dedication and resolve to building a better Trenton through community, creativity, and inspiration.

As a voice for New Jersey’s arts industry, we support the remarkable and resilient Trenton arts community as they heal and rebound. We have no doubt they will tap the power of the arts to bring people together now, as they have in the past, through the irrepressible work of the region's brave and resilient cultural community.

Join us in supporting a creative Trenton in the best way you know how, whether that's by donating directly to Artworks or sharing your artwork on social media. Let’s celebrate and build up the arts in Trenton and throughout New Jersey.

Sincerely,
5837a4fc-916a-48b7-8723-e49569c6d768.jpg
