The synopsis
Ali, an Afghan Muslim, lives in Athens, hoping to fulfill his Western "dream". But so far, filled with memories of his homeland and his trip to Europe, his are mostly nightmares. Ali lives a lonely life in his basement apartment. He sleeps, eats sparingly and prays. His only entertainment is the sport of kick boxing. To survive, he collects scrap metal from garbage bins and carries it away in a supermarket trolley, which he pushes along the streets of Athens. Though a religious man, he is not a fanatic. He is a simple man... with a complicated story.
