Découvrez la programmation de la 11ème édition du Festival War on Screen qui se tiendra du 2 au 8 octobre 2023 dans le Pays de Châlons.

Une centaine de séances, avec 28 avant-premières et 38 pays représentés.

Retrouvons-nous pour une semaine intense de Cinéma et de rencontres autour de la sélection.

Il a débuté en travaillant aux côtés de Louis Malle, Jean-Pierre Melville et Alain Resnais, il remporte ensuite la Palme d'or au Festival de Cannes en 1979 et Oscar du Meilleur film étranger en 1980 pour son film Le Tambour.
Nous sommes heureux d'accueillir ce cinéaste dont la carrière prolifique, traversée par des oeuvres comme L'Honneur perdu de Katharina Blum, Le Coup de grâce, Le Faussaire, Les Trois vies de Rita Vogt et Diplomatie, en a fait l'un des représentants majeurs du nouveau cinéma allemand.

Volker Schlöndorff, guest of honour of the 11th WoS Festival!

He started out working alongside Louis Malle, Jean-Pierre Melville et Alain Resnais, and went one to win the Palme d'or at the Cannes Film Festival in 1979 et the Oscar for Best Foreign Film in 1980 for his film The Tin Drum.
We are thrilled to welcome this filmmaker whose prolific career, which has included such works as The Lost Honour of Katharina Blum, Coup de grâce, Circle of Deceit, The Legend of Rita and Diplomacy, has made him one of the leading figures of the New German Cinema.
