The New York Television Festival is proud to announce it is now accepting submissions to its fifth annual Independent Pilot Competition (IPC). The 2009 NYTVF will be held September 21st through the 26th.
Official Selections to the 2008 Independent Pilot Competition were screened directly for development execs, agents, and producers throughout the TV industry. Additionally, all pilots were broadcast online for viewers all over the world to enjoy, maximizing the exposure our artists received for their work. Our top entrants have the opportunity to work with some of the biggest producers in TV, such as Tom Fontana, Michael Davies, Mitchell Hurwitz, and Phil Rosenthal. They also have a chance to win cash prizes, development deals, and recognition unmatched anywhere else. In past years, pilots have been purchased for development by networks such as NBC, A&E, and Versus.
The NYTVF accepts pilots from 4 to 22 minutes in length in all categories and genres, both scripted and unscripted, live-action and animated.
