Winepires: the Ice Harvest

Director: Vitomir Kaučič.
Police detectives Nina and Milan investigate the murder of teenage girl Mija. In the course of the investigation, corpses keep piling up while the only thing they find out is the fact that all victims were drunk and are missing blood. Milan is suspended by Chief Sovič when he shoots down Antolin, the crime lab forensic who attacked him in an unexplicable and sudden rage. The insatiable appetite of the winepires and the arrival of ruthless cop El Mehcun puts Nina and Milan's feelings for each other to a rough and ugly test. After you've seen this film, you will never dare to gett pissed again!

With or without Me

user
Director: Swann DUBUS / TRAN Phuong Thao.
Thi and Chung live in the gorgeous, rice-terraced mountains of Vietnam’s far northwest. Like many young men in this region on the main heroin route from Laos to China, they’re addicts, and they have HIV. Thi wants to kick his habit. Chung just wants to die. “With or Without Me ” is an intimate, tragicomic portrayal of two guys strung out at the edge of the map in a Communist country struggling with drug use, and of the wives, family, doctors and friends trying to pull them back from the brink.

Women for Justice

Director: Daniel Burkholz and Sybille Fezer.

Forced marriages, domestic violence, over 100000 wives killed by fire in so called household accidents every year – in India, violence against women is omnipresent and nearly all women, independent of class, caste and religion are affected. Because Police and Justice hardly give any protection or aid, women in India have organised to fight against this violence and injustice. They founded the “Women for Justice” and the Nari Adalat women´s courts. Every week they gather on the roof terrace of the local government or on a dusty place under a tree and dispense justice themselves. With quick-wittedness and creativity they put beating husbands and quarrelsome mother-in-laws in their place. And – if necessary – they go in as a riot squad to help a poor widow, who was thrown out of the house with her little daughter after the death of her husband, to regain her belongings.

World Street Walking

Director: Yasuhiro Himukashi.
Asia is a chaotic place where 'history', 'culture', 'popular life', and 'modern technology' are all mixed. A Japanese character wanders the cities of East Asia and gets lost in the maze; as if he cannot judge whether it's a dream or reality. The camera enter in the depths of Asia.
