About the Director: 

Diego Rougier was born in Buenos Aires in 1970.
1992/94. Produces and directs “Much music”, Argentinean cable TV channel.
During the next years he becomes a career ever prolific in musical video clip direction: 78 videos for international artists; films and records more than 200 musicals shows.
August 2002: “Idea Sur” Production Company and directs for America TV the first chapter of TV serial “Tumberos”.
From November 2002 to January 2004: directs the soap opera “Costumbres Argentinas” for TELEFE. (Winner of Martin Fierro Awards)
May 2004: establishes himself in Chile to direct and write series like “Tiempo Final” and “Bienvenida realidad” for TVN, “La otra Cara del espejo” and “Camera Café” for Megavision, “Mundos Paralelos” for UCV TV.
2005 to 2008: directs the Sony Picture Television sitcom “La Nanny” for Megavision channel and “Married with children”, during four seasons, winner of several awards and recognized as a national television phenomenon.
2007/2010 he writes and directs “Demasiado Joven”, “Debut y Despedida”, “Escorbo” and “Otro Domingo” short films.
In 2010/11 directed the series "La Colonia" for three seasons. And He wrote and directed his first feature film "SAL".

Since 1984: - He worked as executive producer in over 25 films in Argentina, Portugal and Chile (“La Amiga”, “El Ciclista del San Cristobal”, “Un Viaje hacia Iberá”,” Raúl Silva Henríquez - Cardenal”) with different directors such as Antonio Skármeta, Orlando Lübbert, Gayla Jamison, Jeanine Meerapfel, Alcides Chiessa, Ricardo Larraín, Ignacio Agüero, Jorge Durán, Paola Castillo, Alex Bowen, Matías Bize, Coke Hidalgo, Tatiana Gaviola, Lucia Murat, José Joffily, etc. 1995 - He organized the first Sundance Laboratory for South Cone screenplays with the Sundance Institute, United States. 2000: -Executive Producer for “Taxi para Tres” (fiction, directed by Orlando Lübbert). 2000- 2001 -Executive Producer of “La Última Hull” (Documentary, directed by Paola Castillo) 2004 y 2005 Executive Producer of: "En la Cama" directed by Matías Bize (Chilean-Dutch Co-Production) (2005) "El Huesped" directed by Jorge Hidalgo (2005) "Mi Mejor Enemigo” by Alex Bowen (Chilean-Argentinean-Spanish Co-Production). (2004 – 2005) 2006 – 2007: Production Director of feature film: All Inclusive produced by Jazz Films and shoot in México. 2010 “La Vida de los Peces”. Directed by Matías Bize. Win Goya Awards Best Film Hispnoamericano. 2011 “ SAL”. Directed by Diego Rougier In 2007, He won the Luís Buñuel Prize by the Iberoamericana producers’ federation for the production EN LA CAMA.

A film Spanish director obsessed with making a western decides to go to Northern Chile in search of a story for his screenplay. Being confused with another, a real adventure begins.
