Lecce Film Network

The Lecce Film Network is an International film festival with four seasonal competitions and an annual public Screening and Awards ceremony held in Lecce (Italy).

The Lecce Film Network offers emerging talents and established filmmakers from around the world the opportunity to showcase their work to celebrate their creativity and bring new voices and new ideas to audiences.

The festival is open to any film in any genre and length.

The Lecce Film Network proposes a competition in each of the four seasons of a year: every three months, our Jury, through private screenings, rewards the best films in all categories and the seasonal winners are automatically qualified to participate as finalists in the annual event during which our Jury will decide, for each category, the overall winners of the Lecce Film Network.

Every entry/submission will be judged based on its directing, acting, technical, and artistic merits, as related to the submission. All decisions made by the judge (s) are considered final and incontestable.

We reserve the right not to give all of the possible awards if we don't receive enough entries in a particular category or if none of the submissions meet our high judging standards.

There can be, if the jury by its own quality so decides, two winners ex aequo in any of the categories.

1.) A direct pathway to assist you in showcasing your stories to the industry, advancing your career goals, and growing your professional network.

2.) A chance to Screen your Pilot, Work in Progress, Series, or completed Film. Trailers are FREE.

3.) Metro gives those who enter our Festival the option for Publicity and Promotion on our TV Channels and Mobile Apps. Get streamed to over 200,000 Subscribers on our Roku and Amazon Fire TV channels, and over 10,000 on our new Android App.

Our filmmakers have used Metro as a Launch-Pad for getting Distribution deals, here's one:

A SUCCESS STORY...
Alexander Pimentel, Director of "Down River" streamed his feature film on Metro's Connected TV Channel, "Movies Plus" on Amazon Fire TV. After 6 months and 70,000 downloads, Alex shared the news with a Venture capitalist who agreed to finance Alex's next feature film.

MORE ABOUT US....

Q: Will a million people watch my film?
A: Maybe, but most likely about 50,000.

Q: How is my film displayed on your channels?
A: Each video features a poster art and a description. When a Roku, or Amazon Fire-TV user clicks on it, then the video streams. Currently there are video AD's that play about every 13 minutes..

Q: What methods do you use to monetize films and TV shows?

A. AD-REV SHARE (see description below.)
B. ANCILLARY PRODUCT SALES (You know, like those neat Marvel soda-pop cups you get at McDonalds.)

1.. We encourage you to place your website-URL and mission statement on your film's POSTER-ART. This art is the first thing that people see on our TV channels.

2. Put your Website address or Point of sale address on your VIDEO-DESCRIPTION. When our audience selects a film to watch, then your film's description pops up, and you may tell them how to buy your DVD or other product here.

3. Publicize your film studio or Swag at the start/end of your FILM. If a person likes your movie, then they'll be encouraged to visit your website to buy a T-Shirt or other ancillary product.

4. AD REVENUE: We partner with FILM ORGANIZATIONS. IF you are a member of a group of filmmakers, then we can offer your group a portion of the advertising revenue. Please note that this arrangement is something we do on a case by case basis for FILM MEETUP's, Film Societies, and other organizations that have over 50 members, and at least 50 films in their library of content.

Q: Where can I watch the Festival's movies and TV programs?
A: On Roku, Android, and Amazon Fire-TV devices. Programming is free and it's free to add the channels and apps. (Buy a Roku/Fire for about 25 bucks, it's a one-time fee and you simply plug it into your TV.)

Q: How do I get your Channels or check out your TV-APPS?
A: Visit https://blog.martianpoop.com/tv-apps/ (Links on this page point to Roku, Amazon, and Googleplay.) See Rules below for direct links to our channels.

SCOPE OF THE FEST...
The Metro TV & Film Awards are International and support most every type of content from across the globe. However, we accept only ENGLISH SPEAKING (DIALOG) submissions only. Subtitles will NOT meet our requirements.

A content's Release Window(s) is not a determining factor for consideration in the Festival. Metro aims to encourage filmmakers, rather than looking for methods of exclusion.

We aim to promote you, not knock you down!
NO CONTRACTS! NO EXCLUSIVES!

SINCE 2014: A GREAT WAY TO GET YOUR WORK SEEN BY THOUSANDS OF FILM LOVERS.

Kew Gardens Festival of Cinema

Founded by three local independent filmmakers, The Kew Gardens Festival of Cinema is the first and only film festival of its kind held in Kew Gardens, NYC, and its surrounding neighborhoods. Running for 10 days in August, the festival will showcase more than 100 films of all genres from around the world. Films will be shown at Queens' only operating art house theater—Kew Gardens Cinemas, located in the heart of Kew Gardens in Queens NY. The festival will culminate with a grand award ceremony gala on the rooftop penthouse of the world-famous Terrace on the Park, built for the New York World’s Fair in 1964. Conveniently located in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, it features panoramic views of some of Queens' greatest landmarks, including the renowned Unisphere and the New York State Pavilion. Awards will honor the best films presented at the festival, and winners will walk away with beautiful statuettes. What makes our Festival stand out from the other opportunities available to filmmakers is that we are focusing on the TRULY independent film, not the film that is funded by the indie film division of a major studio. Nor are we focusing on what celebrity or 'name' actor may be in your film. We want to see the work of filmmakers and their teams who have poured their blood, sweat and tears into making their vision come to life. We are showcasing the best in all genres, including themes often overlooked by other major film festivals, like Horror, Sci-Fi, LGBT, Comedy, Animation and Experimental. We are a Film Festival founded by independent filmmakers, so we have a great understanding of the filmmaker needs when it comes to getting films made and in front of an audience. Along with filmmaker Q&A's after each screening, we will also be holding industry panels featuring some of the best names in independent cinema discussing their strategies, their struggles and how they broke into the film business. Other panels will consist of conversations with independent Producers, Casting Directors and Distributors. Our goal is to bring back and remind people why film festivals exist in the first place - which is to give otherwise unknown filmmakers the opportunity to screen their film in front of large audiences and have their work seen. In addition, we will be screening all our films in an actual operating Art House movie theater, unlike other festivals that show their films in screening rooms or otherwise other rented facilities that aren't prepared to screen films the way they should be. Upon acceptance each filmmaker will receive up to four (4) Filmmaker Badges that will allow access to all the screenings and panels being held throughout the festival, along with exclusive access to our Filmmaker Cafe & Lounge. Filmmaker badge holders will also be entitled to a 5% discount on all merchandise being sold at the festival. All selected filmmakers and respective cast & crew will be given the opportunity to purchase Gala Award tickets at a 30% discount. Opening night will consist of a meet the filmmakers mixer, where filmmakers will have the opportunity to network and promote their film with other festival attendees. Certain selected films to be featured in our Festival Spotlight programming will have a red carpet premiere as well as an after party hosted by the festival. Our Opening and Closing night films will consist of specially invited premieres following a red carpet event. While the festival will not be offering transportation or lodging for its inaugural year, through our sponsors we will be offering discounts and coupon codes to be used towards Hotel accommodations and commuting. We guarantee to have distributors and producers in attendance alongside our selected panel of industry professionals who make up our Jury. Winners for every category will each be receiving a personally engraved unique statuette. Industry guests who have expressed interest in participating in our festival are Lloyd Kaufman, founder of TROMA films; Larry Fessenden, actor/writer/director/producer with Glass Eye Pix; Joe Minion, writer of Vampires Kiss, After Hours. Our Festival will be taking place in Kew Gardens Queens in NYC, USA. Our venue, THE KEW GARDENS CINEMAS is Queens' only art house theater dedicated solely to playing independent and foreign films. Named one of the top 7 theaters in Queens, the theater was built in the 1930's and it is one of the oldest movie theaters still operating in NYC. A little known area of NYC, Kew Gardens and its surrounding neighborhoods - Forest Hills, Rego Park, Woodhaven and Glendale - are a major stomping ground for most television shows being shot today in New York. Location

In the heartland of horsemanship, Germany, this event takes place in the castle Neuhoff/Bibow in northwest Mecklenburg.

The location is in the “garden of the metropolis” Hamburg and Berlin.
It is easily reachable over the motorway and with public means of transport

Further interesting  areas are the state capital Schwerin and the hanseatic cities Wismar, Rostock and Lübeck.

Mecklenburg and Schleswig Holstein, which borders Mecklenburg, are known as THE horse states in Germany.

The castle Neuhoff has been always connected to horses.

From the first owners the von Plessen to the von Basewitz, who had designed and built their own baroque riding park until the beginning of the 19th century, up to the baron von Langen.

Carl Friedrich von Langen, the first German Olympic champion (1928), was excerpted from this family. After his death, he was buried together with his horse on the premises of the castle.
