For this 11th edition, Windows on South cinema in Institut Lumière in Lyon in France will present again movies of recent production, unpublished works or in preview, reflecting various aspects of reality of contemporary arabic world, and its stakes - religious and political questions, xenophobia, identical fundamentalism, war … The algerian film-maker Malek Bensmail sponsors this edition and will present his last movie, Secret wars of the FLN in France. A tribute will be returned to the Tunisian director Mustapha Hasnaoui, died in January, 2011. Other film-makers will be for the honor : Elia Suleiman, Kamal Aljafari. An opportunity too to discover first movies, and to meet the invited film-makers.

 

The sessions will be presented by Abdellah Zerguine, director manager, and Michel Amarger, journalist and film critic to Radio France Internationale
