The Boulder International Film Festival is excited to be presenting two new monetary awards for BIFF 2019: The $10,000 "Grand Jury Prize: Best Feature Length Film" (Narrative or Documentary) and the $3,000 "Grand Jury Prize: Best Short Film” (Narrative, Doc, or Animated).
Filmmakers enjoy luxurious accommodations and an exclusive VIP pass to the legendary parties, where interaction with Oscar-winning celebrities, A-list filmmakers and major-league industry reps is the norm. Major industry who have attended the Festival include big-leaguers like The Hollywood Reporter, MovieMaker Magazine, DreamWorks, Submarine Entertainment, 20th Century Fox, and A & E IndieFilms, among many others. World-class food and drink and fantastic parties every night all add up to one of the most welcoming, filmmaker-friendly festivals on the circuit.
Of course, most people go to Colorado in February to ski. It’s our best month! Filmmakers can head up to the slopes for some of the best skiing of the year, complements of BIFF. BIFF has honored some of the world's most admired talents including James Franco, Shirley MacLaine, Alec Baldwin, Martin Sheen, Elliott Gould, William H. Macy, Bruce Dern, Alan Arkin, and director Oliver Stone, along with many independent filmmakers, stars and special guests including directors Lawrence Kasdan (“The Big Chill”, “Raiders of the Lost Ark”), Anthony Bregman (“Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”, “Begin Again"), Presidential Medal of Freedom honoree Congressman John Lewis, legendary comedian Chevy Chase, and Golden Globe-nominated actors Maria Bello and Blythe Danner.
