Ares Festival
ARES FILM & MEDIA FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL CONTEST 2012 CALL FOR ENTRIES A.RE.S. (Art and Social Responsibility) Film & Media Festival was born in 2009 in Syracuse, Italy. It is an international festival that combines film promotion, multimedia innovation and social responsibility. The Festival project is characterized by the capability to promote both fringe and experimental films, with a new view of contemporary society, and original processes and products concerning the field of new media and technological innovation, by selecting and organizing multimedia art exhibitions. The Ares Film & Media Festival Direction is pleased to announce the call for entries for the 4th ARES Film & Media Festival International Contest, which will be held in Syracuse, Italy, July/August 2012. Submission is free and open to all video makers who have come of age. In competition short and long films produced from January 1st, 2010 are eligible. We accept all classes, except for fiction that will not be considered. For illustrative purposes, here are some of the eligible works: - documentaries - animation - experimental - art videos - music videos - works on Architecture and Design. Deadline for submissions: May 20, 2012. The selected works will be admitted to the competition and will be announced on the web page dedicated to the Festival, www.aresfestival.com, and evaluated by the jury, which will award prizes as follows: - Prize for "Best Film" - Prize for "Best work on social responsibility" - Prize for "Best innovative language" - Prize for "Best anaysis of contemporary" Please visit the ARES website www.aresfestival.it to download all the competition rules and the entry form and follow us on the social network to be always updated!
