Say Adios to Clichés and Hola to Mexico; kicking in Melbourne

user
The el Tran (train) has left Mexico and after a successful tour through Los Angeles, it is now set to head around Australia, for the 7th annual Hola Mexico Film Festival this October and November.  The Festival combines the best of everything Mexican for a week of fun, film and food, as the Festival screens 11 feature films, 5 documentaries and one double header.    Jump on for the journey, as Hola Mexico travels to Melbourne (Oct 19 -28 ACMI Cinemas), then heads to Sydney (Oct...

Poles Apart Again

THESS INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

The 05 TISFF 2011 commits itself to being even more impressive than the previous
festival, described in short below.

TISFF is happy to report that two
of its shorts are now nominees for the 2011 Oscars, NA WEWE and
MADAGASCAR, and most of its films have already received many
awards in festivals all over the world. Our standards are high, and we
are indeed selecting high cinematic quality and cutting-edge films.

The 4th THESS
INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM of Thessaloniki raised once again the level of
quality short film cinema presenting impressive short films from all
over the world. From the 388 fillms of 28 countries submitted, 134 were
selected, and these were continuously applauded by the cinephiles
attending the festival.

In addition to the exceptional individual
submissions like NA WEWE, BUTTERFLY CIRCUS, BANQUET UNDER WATER, ONA, AND ME FOR
MYSELF, VOYAGE AUTOUR DE MA CHAMBRE, VAHETUS, FLAT LOVE and many more
award-winning films (Oscar, Cezar, etc.) , TISFF also presented special
screenings dedicated to BRUSSELS FILM FESTIVAL, uniFRANCE, SEXY
INTERNATIONAL PARIS FILM FESTIVAL, ATHENS INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM
FESTIVAL PSAROKOKALO, KIMUAK, ENCOUNTERS and MADRID en CORTO/MAILUKI.
