YoFiFest

YoFi Fest (a/k/a The Yonkers Film Festival) has officially announced its call for entries for its third annual film festival taking place on October 22nd to 25th, 2015.

YoFi Fest is an eco-friendly festival, so to reduce waste and environmental impact, films can be submitted digitally at YoFiFest.com. The submission period is open through August, with the films accepted to the festival to be announced in September.  Last year’s submissions came from over a dozen countries and featured over twenty premiers.

This year YoFi Fest plans to screen over 100 films, including features, shorts, documentaries, animation, music videos and student work.  It will also host another “mini film school” workshop lecture series that includes lively discussions led by Academy and Emmy award-winning industry professionals on various aspects of filmmaking, including production, writing, locations, distribution, marketing, animation, post-production, permits, insurance, payroll and how to break into the industry.

The popuar Red Carpet Reception and nightly after parties will be back, where audiences and filmmakers will get the chance to connect and converse. Film-friendly audiences are expected to once again be drawn from the entire NY/NJ/CT tri-state region, with more professional organizations and their members taking part.
