Ventana Sur

Ventana Sur is the most important market for audiovisual content in Latin America, and it is a must in the schedule of distributors and buyers from the international industry.

Organized by the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA) and the Marché du Film – Cannes Film Festival, Ventana Sur brings together all the different players from the audiovisual industry to promote international co-production, financing and distribution of Latin American content.

The event welcomes 3000 accredited participants every year, including more than 250 buyers and sellers from all five continents, as well as representatives from the most important networks and international platforms. At the market, they can meet with content producers at business conferences, pitching sessions and one-on-one meetings; they also have access to roundtables, specific actions for producers with projects in development, workshops, talks, and conferences about current topics, with a vision for the future.

Through its different sections, such as Primer Corte, Copia Final, Blood Window, Animation!, Proyecta, Punto Género, SoloSeries, El Principio del Film, Maquinitas y DocSur, and also its activities and services such as conferences, screenings and the Video Library, Ventana Sur promotes Latin American content of all genres (Fiction, Docs, Animation, Fantasy, Latin American Queer) and formats, providing a wide range of business possibilities and promotion, unique in the region.

Ventana Sur 2022 will be held from November 28th and December 2nd.

Ventana Sur launches Speed Meetings - Meet the projects in order to connect with the lineup from Animation!, Blood Window and Proyecta.

Take your networking game to the next level by booking one-to-one format meetings with professionals related to current projects, thanks to our partner B.square.

The meetings will take place from November 30 to December 2 in Buenos Aires at the Industry Lounge (1st floor at UCA) & December 6 Online between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm (Buenos Aires, GMT -3).
Each meeting will have a duration of 20 minutes.
Only accredited Ventana Sur 2022 participants will be able to register. To access the meetings in B.square, please use the "Log in with Cinando" option.

Animation! is a global business space for professionals looking to connect with Latin American talent. Pitching sessions of TV series and feature film projects, curated in a special partnership with Annecy Festival, networking activities and special presentations are some of the key elements in this section.

Blood Window is a unique business platform for filmmakers specializing in Horror & Genre-films from Latin America. The program in Ventana Sur includes a showcase of films in post-production and in Market Premiere status, round tables and conferences. In addition, a selection of twenty projects in early financing, seeking for potential partners.

+Line-up 2022

Proyecta is an initiative organized by Ventana Sur, the Marché du Film-Festival de Cannes and the San Sebastian Film Festival, which is hosting the presentation of fifteen film projects (1rst or second works) in search of co-production.

Producers of the selected projects will have the opportunity to present their works to professionals from the international film industry at a pitching session followed by one-on-one meetings with attendees interested in their projects.
