Robert Pattinson ('Harry Potter' 2005, 'Twilight' 2008, 'Cosmopolis' 2012, 'The Lost City of Z' 2016) recently starred in the indie film 'Good Time' (2017) about two bank robber brothers who get separated when a heist goes wrong. The film has met with critical acclaim at international film festivals. Directed by brothers Benny and Josh Safdie, 'Good Time' premiered at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival where it won the Cannes Soundtrack Award and was nominated for the Camera d'Or. It won ICS (International Cinephile Society Awards) for Prix du Jury and Best Actor. Pattinson has thus far had a colorful and celebrated career in his 31 years and, by the looks of it, he's just getting started. Robert recently made an appearnace and the 20thannual SCAD Savannah Film Festival to accept the Maverick Award.

In a brief interview with Robert Pattinson during SCAD Savannah Film Festival, here is what he had to say:

Some people think English actors are some of the best in the world. Why do you think that is?

ROBERT: Really? I don't know. I feel like all the British actors just move to LA anyway. I never really noticed that much of a difference. I guess the British ones are more pale.

What do you think you'll be working on next?

ROBERT: I'm going to be doing a movie with this Colombian director named Sergio Aguero next year and another movie called 'The Devil All the Time' with Antonio Campos. And a movie with Olivier Assayas as well.

Has there been a role that has been the most challenging for you in your career as of yet?

ROBERT: Not particularly. You try and find the most challenging stuff you can. I think every time I start a movie it seems like it's going to be impossible. Then you kind of get used to it as it goes on. But yeah, everything seems kind of equally challenging and gratifying. 'Good Time' was pretty tough and also 'The Rover' but I had tons of time to think about it. Anything you have to rush into is difficult. If you have enough time to prepare you're always good.

In response to a question about his career journey, he responded with:

It's been a strange journey for me and I kind of grew more and more passionate about it as I went on. But when you really want something, that initial difficulty before you get to it can really damage your self-esteem. I think in the beginning I didn't know what I was doing so it was kind of a laugh and I didn't really take that early failure to heart too much. I think also really liking movies and never letting that love go makes it easier.

In response to possibly directing in the future:

Maybe. I think I feel like I have to reach a certain level of respect first. I don't feel like I have the right to tell other actors what to do yet. So maybe in a few years. I feel like I have to be an adult first but I'm not quite there yet.
