Join the 2021 UMFF This July in Hollywood~!

With a brand new start of 2021, everything that changed by COVID-19 started getting in control gradually. Even though we couldn’t get over all the trauma that happened in 2020 so easily, we still have to keep moving forward to embrace a better life without getting pulled by the past.

As an international film event with a solid 17 years of history, Universe Multicultural Film Festival has been welcoming filmmakers from all over the world every April since 2003. Unfortunately, the 2020 edition was the one and only time that the festival got detoured to later in the year. With hope in our chest, the UMFF committee still planned the 2021 festival to be hosted in April. According to the global travel ban and latest submission status, once again, we have to hardly announce that the 2021 UMFF would be postponed again to July.

This decision would help all the filmmakers who didn’t get to catch up with the regular deadline with their post-production process and also will have a chance to see the borders open again worldwide. The significant meaning of hosting and joining a film event was that people from all over the world would meet each other who have the same dream in their lives, then create something amazing together. We appreciate the participants, audiences, and everyone who supports the festival last year with their submissions and participation. The online award ceremony showed how much the committee cares about the festival, and also showed how much the filmmakers treasure this great opportunity of exposure even under such a challenging time.

At this point, please don’t hesitate to submit your film projects, documentaries, TV episodes, Music Videos, and different genres of screenplays to UMFF before May 31st. UMMF would invite Hollywood professionals as jurists as always and shoot the spotlight on all the outstanding projects. Take the first step towards the industry and shine your talent here in the 2021 Universe Multicultural Film Festival! Rule number one of being a creative people is to be seen, we have the stage ready for you here in Los Angeles.

Come and join the festival this year from July 9th – July 11th. All the dreams that you have could be true with a simple decision, hop on the trip and see you soon!
