The Queens World Film FestivalThe Queens World Film Festival-QWFF is looking for challenging films from around the world and around the corner. ![]() I asked Facebook a Question!I posted the following questions to various sites, pages and agroups:What are the three most important things a festival should do/offerThe answers were all over the map, but the common and consistant items were: Free entry for shorts.Opportunities to meet your peers and those in the industry who are working more than you. Networking is what the gathering is about for most independent filmmakers.Q and A after every film/block - give the filmmaker time to speak about his films, developing more of a relationship with the audience, build their fan base.Access to industry insiders - not through meaningless panels, but by design. Political and Community Support. The festival needs to be supported by cinephiles, audiences. PEOPLE NEED TO BE AT THE SCREENINGS!Money, equipment, services for awards. Value added to the laurels. We'dlove to hear your responses as well - either here or on facebook on our page or via email at Kcato@henrystreet.orgWe look forward to hearing from you! 27.12.2011 | The Queens World Film Festival's blog Cat. : CDATA Cinephilia compétition Computing Contact Details Entertainment Entertainment events Facebook festivals films forward Kcato@henrystreet.orgWe LGBT prizes shorts Software sponsors submissions Web 2.0 World Wide Web XML
