The 2012 Derby City Film Festival now open for submissions

The Derby City Film Festival is now accepting submissions for it’s fourth annual edition. More than 1000 attendees watched 60+ independent films from five countries over three days during the third DCFF which was held in February of this year.

Films can be submitted by either downloading the submission form from the DCFF website or through withoutabox.com (WAB).

This is the first year the festival is using withoutabox.com for submissions. WAB streamlines the submission process for filmmakers and also offers the opportunity to submit a film through a secure online screener. Also, if a film is submitted through WAB, not only will it receive an imdb.com title page (if it already does not have one), but the filmmaker can also save $5.00 off the submission entry fee  Visit www.withoutabox.com to submit through WAB or www.derbycityfilmfest.com to download the submission form.

This year submission fees are $15 for short films and $20 for feature films and this year there are seven categories:

Student Short

International Short

Documentary Short

US Short

Documentary Feature

International Feature

US Feature

Category descriptions, submission rules and additional details can be found on the DCFF website or the WAB listing.

Submissions close December 1st, 2011 and selected films will be notified around January 1st, 2012. The festival is held February 17th - 19th, 2012 at The Clifton Center. More information about the festival can be found at the festival website: www.derbycityfilmfest.com or by calling the DCFF office at 502-454-7801

About The Derby City Film Festival

A different kind of festival... We focus on true independent films and filmmakers rather then celebrities and multi-million dollar Indie-wood films. See what you`ve been missing.
